Windy Day!

With the start of April, has come many beautiful days. We hear the owl in our back woods quite often, and are able to take many strolls in the late afternoon.  This past weekend we took the Metro into DC and flew kites by the Washington Monument.  It was sooooo windy, but we had a great time.  Our kids just love whatever small adventures come their way--even a trip to the shoe store.  Both kids are psyched for Pesach, with lots of songs and different details about the story being shared.  AlteLu grew some amazing parsley, and Hersh is very proud of his pictorial depiction of the plagues.  We have been busy puzzling, and if AlteLu and I are on an errand while Hersh is at school, she'll comment how she wishes he was with us.  Next we will have my birthday and Pesach--fun times ahead!

Two more things--Hersh had his Israeli Dance Performace this past week and AlteLu is the reporter this week at school.  Kvelling!

"Today I signed in and I made a drawing of a Seder plate because it's almost Pesach.  There is an egg on the plate for Spring and new life.  There is also parsley which is green for springtime.  After I did that, I played with kinetic sand and made cupcakes.  I played in the kitchen.  We had a "lock-up" drill.  We closed the shades and locked the door and we sat under the loft in the kitchen.  Everybody was very quiet.  Joanie was shaking the door to see if it was locked.
Ayelot came for Hebrew and talked about Spring and flowers blooming and it's almost Pesach."

"Today we had the Exodus.  Gail threw the 10 plagues in the parachute.  Rabbi Fishman played Moses, and Joanie was Miriam.  Leslie was the Princess.  I thought the Exodus was good!"
