More October..

As October continues to trudge along, we have successfully completed the hagim season, which was truly joyous.  On SA I took the kids on a lovely bike ride while Jacob went to shul.  The day was stunning, and I was so blissfully aware of how privileged I am to be with my three delightful beings. Sender is saying a lot of "ess" and having some big 19 month old emotions:)

Hersh is settling into the year more and more, and is excited about the Nats being in the World Series, and seems to enjoy playing guitar.

Lu is graceful, strong, and silly.  She often reminds me she has a small mouth or small hands:)

Boston & Pumpkins

Last week we had a family adventure to Boston, where we enjoyed a lovely weekend with Mimi, Daniel, and Mr. ReubyRoo.  The fall weather was spectacular, and the leaves were just beginning to change. We went whale watching, slept in strange beds, and enjoyed all that Dunkin Donuts in New England has to offer.

This past weekend we went on our annual pumpkin picking trip with the Siegelbaums, and had a grand time.  Beautiful sunshine day!

Sender is having some very beastly moments of true toddlerhood, but is still a delight.  AlteLu continues to be a delight, with a little bit of crazy thrown in, and Hersh is mature, cynical, loving, and a little bit tired.  Wow--keeping it all going is definitely a thing!

Lots of life!

We've had a lot of life happening over here these past few weeks!  We took our annual Rosh HaShannah apple picking trip.  It was enjoyed by all, and Sender seemed to have a light bulb moment when realizing that apples come from trees!
Then Mr. Sweetie Baby turned18 months old!  And Jacob and I officially feel like we don't have a baby anymore.  We are quickly passing on too small clothing and baby gear, I'm just about done nursing, and Sender is dipping his tow into school by attending the kangaroo class.
We then welcomed in 5780 and enjoyed hosting dinner for lots of loved ones, which all of the kids referred to as a party:)  The big kids are busy with school and their lives, but are so happy to be home cooking, reading, and adventuring with each other--and we are so grateful that they have each other!
This past weekend we hosted Quacky (Lu's class pet) and participated in Hersh's cubscout hike at Calvert Cliffs.   Sender walked about .5 miles and all 5 of us were so happy to be hiking and beaching---fossil hunting to be exact.  Now we will launch into ore hagim, hope for rain, and keep on sliding into Fall!
