A little bit of freedom

Something interesting has happened...because we've all had covid, we have a little bit of freedom. It's strange and wonderful.  We went to the movies (which everyone loved)--Sender kept searching for the popcorn.  Jacob and I went out to dinner in a very crowded restaurant--also amazing. The kids are thriving--academically and socially.  They are skiing, dancing, biking, and even went ice skating--next up hopefully the pool will reopen.  Cooking dinner every nights is one of the worse parts of adulting, but raising three delicious children is a gift.  It's hard to keep up with how quickly they grow--Hersh is (small) man sized, and I only wish children used mitten clips into adolescence.  Today I'll go to the Ancient Egypt Expo.  Sender loves cereal and is so sweet, funny, and a little mischievous.  AlteLu's sensitivity will be her greatest strength--I just love her!

A Family Affair

To ring on 2022 we all got Covid!  It started with Sender having symptoms of a "normal" 3 year old cold/sickness, and I immediately new it was covid.  Then Hersh got sick, then Jacob and me.  AlteLu never had symptoms, but did test positive.  So here we are--home, a little stir crazy, mostly all better, and very very grateful for a cozy house and a beautiful family of 5.  It is amazing that the kids have each other, and that we have so much comfort within our little home.  It's definitely been a long few weeks, but so totally fine.  Having covid all at once is efficient, and it allowed me to not feel guilty or stressed about missing work (which is so messed up).  We had snow days and lots of creek walks, exercise and movies, challah, soup, and lots of love and support from friends and family near and far.  We are grateful and #blessed.  Hopefully the kids will go back to school Wednesday, and I'll return to work by the end of the week.   Crazy crazy times.
