Summertime!

It's officially summer!  The kids finished school, we had an amazing beach week, swim team is in full swing, and AlteLu is enjoying Space Camp.  I am so proud of all three kids--they truly made the most of this year (both at school and playgroup).  Great report cards, really good attitudes, and just such beautiful neshamot.  Hersh told us that one of the best parts of the year was "unexpected friendships."  AlteLu has a whole little world of imagination with her friends---yesterday she informed me that she is a Caticorn.  And Sender--very scared of the ocean, loves the sand and ice cream, and decided "masks and socks are the same because they cover things up."  I also love summer because I dont have to cook as much dinner--pool time and watermelon do the trick.  We are in camp prep mode--a new level of parenting hell--but there is something so satisfying about taking a sharpie to everything!  We also enjoyed a visit from the Siegelbaums, Father's Day with the Aplebaums, and the end of the 17 year cicadas.

Last week of school!

We've made it--last week of school, the closing of another chapter in the book entitled, "Covid."  We've been enjoying the pool, the different flow to the days, and taking Sender new places.  When discussing going out to dinner (which Jacob and I did this past weekend!), Sender said, "I've been to a restaurant once--we have lemon juice (lemonade) and lots of biscuits."

AlteLu keeps losing teeth, had her dance recital, and loves chatting kids up in the diving board line.  She also did an amazing job with her Outer Space Project.  Hersh's independence and maturity grows by the day--finishing all his school work (we love Nathan Hale), lots of Hebrew, biking everywhere on his own. and is just such a mensch.

Lots of cicadas and lots of HSJ camp prep happening.  We were blessed with a visit from the Wolf Pack, and cant wait for beach week!  And let's go Nats!
