This & That

This week was a potpourri of activity--faux hawks, mall trips resulting in back packs, a trip to Yards Park, and visits with people we love.  Hersh told me about his ideal "do nothing day," and AlteLu is happy to go with us on daily adventures.  Hersh is making progress is in piano lessons, and AlteLu will have her first swim lesson tomorrow. Ahh summertime, never end please!

A hot week at home

We've enjoyed a very hot week at home after returning from Little Rock. The temps have been high but we've enjoyed lots of swimming and outdoor music/performances. Recess Monkey, Story Pirates, and Dustbowl Revival  were wonderful outings.  Hersh also competed in his first swim meets--winning 1st and 4th place.  This week Hersh is attending Lego Robotics camp.  We also had a wonderful visit from our friends's Matt and Liz--how good it feels to be with friends you love.
AlteLu is swimming up a storm as well, but really loves splashing around in the little pool.  That girl also loves to talk, and is constantly chit-chatting.  She has a whole imaginary world in her head, and loves taking care of her babies.  Also, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Peter Rabbit currently live under her bed, of course:)

The rest of the Rock

Following July 4th we still had almost a whole week left to enjoy the Rock.  During the rest of our visit we took the trolley, tried a new brewery, swam, played, and checked out a new museum. Hersh saw his first movie--The BFG--and went fishing at Lakeside with Uncle Charles.  AlteLu loved her baby, Charley Bunny, and enjoyed herself some Savta snuggles.  We also had a fabulous day on Lake Hamilton.   We love our family and The Natural State!
