July 10

On July 10th, we lost our father, father-in-law, Sabba, and best friend, Richard Lewis, after a long, hard battle with pancreatic cancer. Rich was the absolute best man. Loving, wise, kind, generous, opinionated, passionate, and loyal. We are all better people for having been loved and cared for by Rich, and our children truly had the best Sabba they could have ever asked for.
Jacob and I have felt the love and support of family and friends here in Little Rock, at home in Silver Spring, and from all the other moments in our lives. We want to express our greatest gratitude to everyone who has reached out. It truly has comforted us during this time.
As we now move forward, we hold Rich’s memory as a blessing, and know that his spirit will remain a constant in our lives, the lives of our family, and children.❤️

In the midst of all of this we spent time in Little Rock and are working to process what our life will now look like moving ahead without Rich in it on a daily basis.  Sender had his first swing and his first swim, which Rich would've delighted in, and we visited with Bamom.

LA

While Hersh was at camp, I went with the other two kiddos to LA.  There we were reunited with the Werner family, and had the best time just being together.  Lu and Naomi are instant BFF, and I loved being with my BFF--Lucy. There was lots of Crystal Light, TV, and shrinky dinks.  It was perfect:)

HSJ--Olim B

Hersh is now officially an HSJ camper! He had an amazing and successful time down in Utica, where he even made the best of being in the mirpa'ah.  From messy night, the climbing wall, song session, omanut, and bunk life, Hersh is sold on summers in the south.  We missed our boy dearly, but are so glad that he loves the camp life!
