Matching cousins and a 1st haircut!

What a week--Yom Kippur and Hersh had his first haircut.  Yom Kippur was Yom Kippur.  It is always a tough day for us, where we feel lonely and just a little bit unsure.  Maybe this is how it is supposed to feel--a day for reflection, introspection, and true self-honesty.  A highlight of the day was seeing Lewes, as he and Hersh were dressed like twinkies!  It was really cute and they seemed happy to see each other as well.

In other news, Hershel had his first haircut ever yesterday.  We had been going back and forth whether or not it was time to cut his hair, or if we should wait.  Taking care of his hair was getting harder and harder, as even though it didn't look too long, because it is so curly, it was always getting tangled and matted, or super frowey.  Thus, haircut time.  I did it myself with a little assistance from Jacob.  Hersh sat very nicely for it, and was really psyched about the spray bottle.  We are all pleased with the result, and this milestone can now be checked off the list!

This is what I see when I look in the backseat.
