Settling in

I know that it has been a few weeks since my last post, much longer than I usually go between posts.  Things have just been so busy!  Over the past few weeks, we finished up our time in Little Rock, made our move to Silver Spring, and Jacob started work.  Every minute of every day has been so busy, there hasn't been a moment of down time.

Overall, we are doing well.  We love the house that we moved into, and feel fortunate to have signed a two year lease.  This means that we can settle in and not worry about moving for a bit, although, to be honest, after this move, I never want to move again!

Hersh and I are enjoying our days together, exploring the area, running errands, and looking forward to when Abba arrives home from work.  This upcoming week, Hersh will begin to spend sometime with the nanny and the other little boy he will be with when I start work on October 4.  I will be working three days a week and am looking forward to getting into a routine and reentering my professional life.  I feel so fortunate to have had this time with Hersh and would be lying if I said that I wasn't sad to be leaving him, even if it is only for three days a week.

We have already had a visit from Aunt Addie and Uncle Craig, and see Aunt Nina, Uncle Lowell, and Baby Lewes all the time!  Hersh knows everyone by name and just loves his aunts, uncles, and cousin.  When we see how happy he is to be surrounded by them all, we know why we moved here.

We also have space in our house for visitors, so we hope to see you soon!

Sometimes Hersh will smile for the camera!

So cute!

Exploring in our yard after the rain.

Telling me all about the yellow leaf.

Crusin' in his car.  Hersh has lots and lots of words---car is currently on of his favorites.

Going down the slide.

Map reading with Abba.

Shabbat dinner made Lewes very sleepy.

  1. This week I'm obsessed with the picture of him showing you the leaf. Lord have mercy, that is one cute kid.
