Everything comes full circle.

Back in the USA and what a busy but wonderful few weeks it has been.  We left Vienna on December 24 and flew into Washington DC.  We were met by Hersh's Aunt Nina and Uncle Lowell, and Aunt Addie and Uncle Craig.  We spent a wonderful weekend together, celebrating Christmas the traditional way--with Chinese food!  We then narrowly avoided a snowstorm and drove to NJ the day after all of the snow fell.

While in NJ we had the chance to visit with so many loved ones.  Jacob and I even had the chance to see Phish at MSG.  Thanks to Addie, Mimi, and Craig for lovingly taking care of the Hershel Bershel Bear so that we could enjoy the shows!

About a week ago we arrived in Little Rock where we will be for the month of January. It has been so nice to be with family here in The Rock.  Hersh is enjoying having so many familiar, loving faces around.  He is "army crawling" all over the place and babbling up a storm.

Yesterday, it happened again-- more snow!  I know it's the winter, but it is truly amazing how the snow has seemed to follow us. This afternoon we plan to take Hersh on his first sled ride!

These past few weeks have been a treat and we are feeling lucky to have a few more ahead of us before we head back to Vienna.  Maybe it'll have warmed up by the time we head back?

  1. First of all, LOVE the boots. And I love the expression on Hersh's face in the pic with Craig and me, because I remember Jacob making exactly that quizzical look as a little boy. And, third, I love that both Mimi and I have open mouth smiles in these pictures. Is that our auntie smile, Meem?
