On Wednesday, April 27, our deer sweet Hershel Bershel turned 6. It's hard to believe that our little man has been with us for six years. What a wonderful six years of parenthood it has been. Hersh is a truly a mensch. He enjoys dancing, whistling, drawing, snapping, reading, beat boxing, helping in the kitchen, and just being involved in daily life.
For his birthday we went snorkeling on Peanut Island. He cracked open and drank from fresh coconuts, and then passed out in the car from exhaustion. It was a really great day.

Pesach time is here!
After a very busy post birthday week (which included Aplebaum birthday dinner) we are enjoying our spring break--which has been kicked off by very joyous Pesach sederim! For the first seder we drove through the glorious state of NJ, where we had the chance to visit with some childhood friends, and then onto Brooklyn! In Brooklyn I relived my childhood and had a wonderful seder at Aunt Sandy's house. All of my cousin's were there:) Hersh sang the four questions beautifully and AlteLu ate homemade applesauce under the table. Both kids ate lots of chocolate and rode home to Aunt Addie's in their pj's. Second seder was at Chez Klein, and all of the Lewis' were there. It was joyous, delicious, and full of love! Again, our two little ones stayed up too late, ate a lot of dessert, and had a great time. What can I say, they love a good party, especially if it is a seder!

Birthday Weekend
I'm officially 36. On my actual birthday, I had a lovely massage and then we went to a UM baseball game in the evening with friends. It was a beautiful spring night, and the kids loved the game! Mimi came into town, which was a total treat. On Saturday, I took Hersh to soccer, and it snowed. Then Saturday night, Jacob and I went to dinner in the city for a birthday date. On Sunday we attended the JPDS Israeli Dance Festival. Hersh was amazing and he had a great time. Now, we need to keep our heads down and get through the next two weeks. Then it's time for Pesach, FL, and HBB to turn 6!

Almost 36...
Come Friday, I'll be closer to 40 than to 30. Some how I can't believe I will be 36, while at the same time if I look around my life--husband, house, car, job, 2 kids, grown-up responsibility--all of these things added up scream "36"! Overall, I feel pretty good for 36. I am at a point in my life where I am busy at every moment, and never seem to have any time I am not at work, or with the kids. Yet, I am fully aware that my time with my kids is so precious, so important, and I am so grateful to be able to be with them. Today I was a guest in AlteLu's class for her birthday celebration ( I am aware her birthday is not until August), and then went to birthday lunch at Hersh's school. Needless to say, it was a very "mom" morning. I wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way.
So, here I go--36. Another year on the roller coaster of life, another dance around the sun:)
