Here are a few pictures from Alte Luna's first week at home. Nothing too crazy to report, just lots of family, love, nursing, sleeping, and diaper changing.

HBB's 1st Day of School
Hersh started school this morning--his 3 year old year at OKECC. He will be going M/W/F from 9:15-1:00 and will have Lynn and Jenn as his teachers. Here's hoping for a great year!

Welcome Alte Luna
This past Monday, August 19, 2013, we welcomed our daughter, Alte Luna Lewis, into the world. She was born at 8:07am, 9lbs 5 oz, 21 inches long. Needless to say, we are blissfully in love with her and feel incredibly grateful to have 2 beautiful, healthy children. Alte's birth went smoothly (c-section) and all things considered, my recovery has been fine as well. She has taken naturally to nursing, is pretty mellow, and overall delicious. Dark hair, dark eyes, inquisitive expression. Other than her coloring, she looks a lot like Hersh (I think) and Jacob things she looks like me :). We came home from the hospital 2 days post-partum and everyone started to feel better once we were all back together.
Hersh calls her "our baby" and seems to really love her. He wants to rub her soft head and give her kisses. He has been helpful and if Alte cries, he will say, "Ima, I think you need to nurse her." Hersh also starts school tomorrow--his 3 year old year. The fact that there is so much going on at once--all good things, but nevertheless, lots of different things (oh yeah, we sold our house in Seattle this week)--has made for an emotional time for all of us. Hersh is definitely working out the fact that he is older, starting school, having more intense social interactions, and is now a big brother. We are working on supporting him.
Our hearts and minds are full of love and joy. Next weekend we will have Alte's baby naming where she will be surrounded by our community of friends and family.
