Lakeside 4th!

Another wonderful 4th of July was celebrated at Lakeside!  Filled with our favorite people--Lewises, Kleins,and Matsons, the cabin was full of family!  Hersh proudly decorated his bike and rode in the parade, Isaac and AlteLu bounced it up, and popsicles were enjoyed by all.  The lake was the perfect temperature for swimming and jumping, and in the end a turtle was found and Hersh came in 4th place in the race!  Both kids helped me decorate our flag cake and a good time was had by all!

Pennsylvania Adventures

On Wednesday we cruised up to Philly, dropped the kids with the best people--Aunt Mimi and Daniel, and then we two headed to see the Phish!  The kids had an amazing time at their sleepover, and we too had the best night of dancing to the best band in the world.  On our travels home we visited the Sturgis Pretzel Factory, as well as the Turkey Hill Ice Cream Factory.  Raspberries were purchased road side from ladies speaking German and shelling peas.  Hersh was busy in the back seat drawing, and AlteLu chattered away, with Jacob only suggesting the quiet game once.  Now we are home to regroup and soon a visit to The Rock!

We also took another trip to Flag Pond last week, and when to an awesome street fair in DC where we attended a Greensky Bluegrass show--we all had a great time.  And, AlteLu is very pleased about her new bike helmet, as is Hersh about playing Boggle:)
