It's hard to believe that we are 20 years into wedded bliss! What a beautiful Little Rock day that was--filled with love, family, and friends. We spent yesterday a bit differently--but still surrounded by all that matters--especially our three best friends. Life continues to swirl and we are looking eagerly towards the end of the school year. Summer has begun with lots of pool time, swim team, and transitions. Breathing deep and feeling ready for what comes next...
Its mid-May and we're chugging through each day! We celebrated Lewes Aplebaum's bar mitzvah, had a quick trip to the Jersey Shore (for me) and camping for the rest. Kids are holding steady--each in their own place and the end of the school year looms. We are planning the final details of the summer, waiting for the pool to open and enjoying the warmer weather. Next up, Jacob and I celebrate 20 years of marriage!
Whoosh...the rest of April flew by---a swirl of birthdays and Pesach. HBB turned 14 and we are in awe of the amazing young man he has become---kind, smart, skeptical, strong, loving, and beautiful. We celebrated him with a trip to the beach in SC, a much needed respot for our family of 5. Lots of classic Mickey Mouse Club, swimming, beach, and relaxxxxx....what an honor to be the parents of our three beauties through all of it. When we were driving home Sender let us know, "I feel elevated." When asking for more details he shared that he felt elevated in all the ways---physically, mentally, emotionally--what a guy. And Lu--"shoe, shoe, I'm a shoe!"
We also celebrated Pesach--hosting the first seder, attending the second--Aplebaums, Sharrins, Lewis, Kleins, Farnsworths---all the family love. Sender performed well, had lots of good Kindergarten information to be shared, and the big kids, the best hosts.
Now we will see what lies ahead...finish the school year.. and feel the love and strength that is our family.
