Over the past few weeks the big kids have been in their summer home--HSJ--and Sender has been living his best life as the "only child." He attended camp at CPC, had a thruples weekend at the beach, and gets dessert every night (although I suppose this isnt different then when the kids are in town:) It has been lovely having less house work, less cleaning, and quiet evenings. I suppose we're really only able to enjoy these things because the kids seem to be happy at camp. Piper misses them. Sender and I had a day at the museum yesterday where he absorbed so much information. He uses the word "humjoles" which is a combination of hummus and frijoles--both of which he does not want in his quesadilla!

Israel Trip Part II: Bar Mitzvah!
The impetuous for the entire Israel trip was the bar mitzvah of our eldest mensch and forever sweetie pie, HYL. This was an idea hatched by me and my beloved FIL, Richard Lewis bde, at Hersh's bris. And let me tell you, it was perfect. Held on Nof Ginosar on the Kinneret, we settled in for a Shabbaton style weekend filled with nachas, torah, food, laughter, after parties, and swimming. It was truly magical, and we are so proud of Hersh, and the fact that every one of our family members and friends participated in the service. Parshat Korach was the torah portion. We are so proud of Hersh and grateful grateful grateful that we had this time together as a family. A gift, the trip of a lifetime. An intimate family bar mitzvah honoring our sweetest boy.
