We've made it to the busiest week of the year--Aplebaum Birthday week! We missed my mom on April 14, and Grandpa Joe on April 17. Today is Uncle LoLo, tomorrow Hersh, and then on the 29th, Lewes. A monster truck rally awaits "just the 10 of us." Everyday with the kids is a joy--and I can believe that tomorrow I'll have a teenager! Sender is loving soccer and is a great runner. Lu is smart and creative, and told me that she prefers friends who are "outdoorsy."
It's been a busy first half of April--2 weeks of no school, Pesach (two beautiful Sederim filled with all the people we love most!), a lovely 43rd birthday day trip to Rehoboth, and then an incredible trip with dear friends to Colorado. The majesty of the land--the mountains, the wildlife, the snow, the rocks--all of the children were in awe. Hersh skied to the top of the highest mountain, Lu enjoyed every sunset with me, and Sender was memorized by the trees. He called the Gondola, the "L'gondola" and it is so cute. It was a really wonderful spring break for our family. Now, the final push to the rest of the school year--summer, Israel, bar mitzvah time, and camp lie ahead!
