HBB is 11!

 I honestly cant believe it--my very first baby is 11(!!!!).  I just love him beyond words.  It's crazy to think back to that morning at the UW hospital---how magical it was---and how hard and special those coming days, weeks, months, and years have been.  Hersh is everything we could have dreamed of in a first child--and Jacob and I continue to feel immense amounts of abundant love for our firstborn.  Hersh is funny, smart, kind, sensitive, responsible, intuitive, creative, funny, and just a gift.

His interests are wide ranging--biking, swimming, basketball, cooking, reading, comics, movies, video games, legos, drawing, eating, travelling, and being a great brother and friend.

Only 7 more years to go and then he'll  leave the nest--cherishing each day with this amazing boy. xoxo

April birthdays!

 It's funny how the days and weeks continue to roll by--seasons change, birthdays pass, and I find myself grateful, exhausted, and focused on keeping it all going!

I've officially turned 41(!!!!!), and had a beautiful birthday filled with love, a massage, and the perfect family celebration.  Lots of flowers were delivered to my door, we went out to dinner for the first time in a year--everyone was very well mannered, and ate a lot of biscuits. And Sender learned what a restaurant is--he was also fascinated when we went to Home Depot and he got to hold all the tools! But the best part was how contented and loved I felt on that day.  The way I felt on that day and the days following is such an important reminder of the control that we have over ourselves--our minds, our moods, our lives.   A few days later we had Grandma over which was a vaccinated treat.  Sender also graduated to a "big boy bed."  Then we went to the bay and felt the gloriousness of springtime.  Next up, Hersh's birthday!  What a #blessed life.  We are so grateful!
