Tomorrow, April 27, my very first baby, Hershel Bershel Bear will turn 10! I honestly can't believe it because my memories of pregnancy and him as a newborn, infant, toddler, etc are so vivid. At the same time, there is so much about him that is like a "preteen." He is smart, loving, stubborn, emotional, witty, creative, strong, curious, lazy, funny, and truly one of my best friends. And it is a gift that I get to be him Ima.
Hersh is thinking a lot about who he is and what his image is--to both himself and others. So far, he has a good self image, and we hope this continues. I can't believe how quickly he is growing and how tall he is--he must be close to 5 ft! What a mensch.
The other kids are doing pretty well, quarantine aside. Sender is potty trained now (!!!) and is hilarious! He loves the trampolines, going on hikes, and playing in puddles and creeks. AlteLu misses school and her close friends. But she also loves the trampoline, scooting, and is a songstress on the mandolin. We really love them all!

Pesach
Here we are in week 5 of coronacation, and in the middle of Pesach. We had lovely Sederim, that although were a bit sad because we missed our extended family, lent themselves to a beautiful simplicity ( and made our 2 year olds behavior totally permissible). I turned 40 and actually had a lovely day filled with friends, and lots of love from my family. We made it to the bay which makes any day better, and I allowed myself to be happy and enjoy. The other big news of the day is that Sender is potty trained! We weren't quite sure he was ready, but decided to give it a go, and boom--2 days later and he's in big boy roos!
Other than that same old, same old. Everyone is holding on and doing their best. Movies, cooking, outside time, messy projects, walks, games, and reading fill our days. Our three kids are the sweetest and I am so grateful they have each other through this, and whatever else life brings.
