Last post of 2019!

As we begin the last day of 2019, I am reflective, grateful, and surely in a different place than I was 10 years ago. December 31, 2009, we were living in Seattle, I was pregnant with Hersh, and we were preparing for what was to come next in our life--post baby and PhD. Over the past 10 years we have moved, had all of our babies, lost loved ones, while gaining friends, community, experiences, and setting up what people refer to as "life."  It's hard to believe that I'm almost 40 (although when I look in the mirror I believe it). As I reflect what I see, is that with the passing of the years, life gets to be different and more, not easier and less.  I have  lots to be grateful for--Jacob, my 3 little lovers, a cozy home, fulfilling work, and people who I love, and who love me.  The next decade will bring a new stage of parenting, opportunity for me to grow and shift what I do professionally, hopefully some time to focus on my health and body, and Jacob and I continuing to do what we do--keeping our marriage and life strong.

Looking at things from a micro perspective, December has been a good month--fun school activities leading to Winter Break, a super fun Winter Break--combo home/road trip to VT, where the big kids skied, and we visited the Other Side of the Hill Farm--thanks Aunt Meg and Dave!  We also enjoyed "Hankah" as Sender calls it, and just the feeling of the 5 of us being home together.  Here's to an amazing next year and decade!
