Honoring our Abba

This past weekend we spent an entire day honoring the man we love the most--Abba!  We gave him a sunhat to fit his large noggin':), made him brunch, went on a hike, gave him a card that looks like the Arkansan flag (courtesy of our resident artist, HYL), and capped the day off with Abba's favorite--chinese food!  Hersh even read everyone their fortunes.  How lucky are we to have the sweetest, smartest, funniest, Abba?  A man who works hard and plays hard, loves emptying the dishwasher, and is always happy to play in the yard.  We love you Abba!

Milestones!

This week brings us two big milestones in the life of our family:
1--AlteLu is potty trained!
2--Hersh finished kindergarten!
With time passing so quickly it feels significant for our sweet little family ti have these moments come and go.  AlteLu got the ballerina tutu she has been longing for, and Hersh told me how proud he feels of his year.  Lots of analyzation about friendships, school life, etc.  My hope for us is that we can relish in the slower pace of the summer and enjoy the moments of sun, exploration, and freedom.  Hersh is also starting swim team--Go Feet!
Grateful for this time and working hard to be present in every moment:)

Flag Pond!

Today we visited our favorite local beach--Flag Pond!  It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time.  Along with the Fox Family we swam and played.  AlteLu is working on potty training and doing pretty well.  I am officially done with my school year, so now it's just Hersh left to finish up before summer officially begins.  On Monday Hersh will have his first swim team practice.  Lots of sun and sun in store for our little fam:)

Last Day of the 2's

Our little lady lover had her first official last day of the school year today.  What a wonderful year of growth and joy it has been for AlteLu.  Molly and Gail are amazing teachers, and I am so grateful we've had them twice.  Soon enough Hersh and I will be done with our respective school years, and then Camp Ima begins.
This week AlteLu and I accompanied Hersh's class on a trip to the zoo, and we had out first pool trips of the season.  Loving this shift in the year:)
