To the Homestead!

On Tuesday we gathered ourselves and hopped on a plane to the Ol' Family Homestead--7316 Rockwood Rd in Little Rock.  Alte handled the plane ride relatively well, and has been enjoying her time in the Rock, aside from having a little bit of trouble taking good naps.  We assume that she must be teething, or that her rosy cheeks are bothering her.  AlteLu and HBB love being with Sabba, Savta, Bamombelle, and Aunt Mimi.  We also enjoyed large family gathering with all of the Matson relatives.  There is just something so special about being in Little Rock.  We are filled with love and surrounded by our amazing family.  The only sad part is that soon we will leave, only to count the days until our next visit.

4 months old!

Our sweet AlteLu turns 4 months old today!  In the past week she has started rolling over, and is definitely making us work a little bit harder to get her down for her much needed naps.  Regardless, she is such a happy baby.  She just can't help herself.  Even when she is crying (which isn't too often), you can usually get a smile out of her.  It is so sweet!  We also think that maybe she is teething, as the drool and the need for things in her mouth is colossal.  She loves being read to and playing, she loves being outside, and is becoming much chattier.

Alte's brother, our sweet HBB, is also wonderful.  We had his parent/teacher conference yesterday, and were pleased to hear that he is doing so well at school.  Full of ideas, creativity, and a good friend to his classmates.  He has been interested in color mixing, as well as writing letters.  This morning he wrote all 4 of our names.  When we were in the car this morning Hersh said, "Ima, I think we should get a dog and a cat.  We will need two leashes and two bags for their poop."  Hersh is also into eating baby arugula.  He says that he does not like salad, but will inhale a bowl of arugula.  Last night at dinner he said, "May I please have some hummus to dip my arugula in?"  Proud hippie parent moment:)

Pink Floyd t-shirt day!
