Quotes

It's a very busy season....May seems to be the deluge of the end of the year, a season of impending transition and supporting the kids (while never cooking dinner).  Earlier this week Hersh made us proud by finishing his first year as a Hartman Fellow, he won the BBYO Leadership Award, has been working so hard to get as much school work done as he can before he heads to volunteer at Dreamstreet.  Among the many wonderful moments with Hersh this week, he achieved a PR (195lbs) in weight lifting and discussed, what is the holiest day of year.  Lu went to Memphis last weekend for a camp friends BM, and then to NYC for Milton 7th grade trip--she is definitely living her best life.  Sender is finishing being a Piranha and feels the end of 2nd grade upon him.  I took him for ice cream after school the other day when it was so hot...he said, "Wow Ima.  It worked.  That was surprisingly delicious (bc vanilla) and it cooled my whole body down."  We also had a whole conversation about what it means to be liberated, and he confessed that although his class is ready for 3rd grade bc they have learned enough, they are not good enough listeners for 3rd grade:)
