This past weekend we made a quick trip to the Rock for a lovely wedding.  Sender enjoyed high-fiving all the people on the plane, AlteLu made her first trip to the tree farm, and all the kids were pleased to get acquainted with Baby Roo.  Sender has decided he loves to spin around, AlteLu is smart, sweet, and a little sassy/hilarious.  Hersh is strong, confident, and still loves to read. 

4th & 1st grade, and 17 months

Wow! What a few weeks it has been!  Hersh started 4th grade, AlteLu started 1st grade, and Sender turned 17 months old. Activities--swim, ballet, piano, guitar, cross country, newspaper, karate, music class, and the Kangaroo class are each beginning as well.   What a hustle!  But, other than being tired, the kids are doing great, and Jacob and I are working hard to calibrate from summer mode to school year mode.

 I had the honor of going to Boston (solo!) and spending the weekend with Baby Reuben (Mimi and Daniel were there too:).  Everyone is doing well!

6!

This past Monday, Aug 19th, our dear sweet AlteLu turned 6!  We spent the day getting 3 fish--Waffles, Bus, and Birdy, and then had a fabulous pool party!  Lots of friends, family, pizza, swimming, and ice cream sandwhich cake.  Our girl is a true delight. When someone complimented her mermaid bathing suit, she replied, "I am a mermaid!"

Hersh and Sender also enjoyed the party, and are relishing the last days of summer,and having Savta with us:)

1st tooth out & almost 6!

Our dear, sweet AlteLu lost her first tooth, and is moments away turning 6.  She told me that she heard the tooth fairy's wings flapping, and that her tooth fairy is likely Israeli, since she left AlteLu a 5 shekel coin:)
On Monday Lu will turn 6, and wow, what a lady she is!  Reading, dancing, swimming, drawing, and almost bike riding!  We love our chit-chatty girl so much--life would be much too quiet without her around:)
