Brrrrrr........

It's chilly now. So cold that hats, gloves, socks, and jackets are all necessary, and even we dont want to play outside:(  This weekend Aunt Mimi and DanDan visited from Philly which was a treat.  Hersh and Daniel spent some time creating an amazing recording of Yesterday, and AlteLu tried convincing Aunt Mimi that our house could become Mimi's permanent home as well.
We've been enjoying UNO after bath and winter activities, such as baking and painting.  Summer plans are beginning to take form, as are school plans for next year.
Hersh can read now, which is incredible, and AlteLu is a fabulous storyteller.

Winter Break in the Rock

After a summer like start to winter break, we hopped on a plane and headed down to Little Rock for a week at 7316.  That house is filled with treasures, movies, and people that we really love.  Hersh and AlteLu enjoyed being surrounded by Sabba, Savta, and Bamombelle.  AlteLu often  demanded for Savta to play with her in the sweetest play kitchen you've ever seen.  Hersh enjoyed football with Sabba, and drawing with Bamom.  We all enjoyed watching the Arkansas River rise to record heights, and Jacob and I even spent a kid-free night in Memphis! And a very happy 35th to our sweet Abba, Jacob. Grateful and well-loved is how we currently feel.  Today we settle back in to the rhythm of work and school.  Don't worry Little Rock, we'll be back in the summer:)
