Hanukah and everything in between

Here we are in mid-December, and what a busy few weeks it has been!  Hanukah has come and gone, giving us lots of opportunity for candle lighting, dreidle playing, latke eating, and song singing.  I must admit Hanukah is much more fun when you have a 2.5 year old to celebrate with.  Hersh has been spinning like a dreidle while singing "Sivivon, sov, sov, sov."  We had a nice Aplebaum family Hanukah Dinner, and traveled to Philly for the annual Chez Klein Holiday Party.

On the home front, we have been trying to get in bike rides and trips to the park post-nap, even though it gets dark very early.  Hersh has been delighting us as usual with a myriad of made up words that he then gives the definition to.  Jacob and I had our first Parent/Teacher Conference today, where we were told about who Hersh is at school.  His teachers had truly wonderful things to say about him.  He received a balance bike from Saba and Savta for Hanukah, so we will be working on getting comfortable riding it.
